Wintercomessummer

Jack sit somewhere between Tindersticks, Divine Comedy, and My Life Story on the spice rack of pop. Since 1995 they have released a batch of fine albums as both Jack, and sometimes as Jacques when they have enlisted the likes of Kirk Lake and Momus to conttribute. When their first album was released they looked like they would follow the Tindersticks glowing reviews into the lower reaches of the charts but alas it was not to be. Personally, my favorite album is still the first, "Pioneer Soundtracks" along with their first few singles. The first song today "Biography Of A First Son" comes from that album and was also a single, while Lolita Elle was the first single release from their second album "The Jazz Age"

hi Steve I like both of the Jack songs! is there an official website to find out more about the band?

Sadly I couldn't find one. Even Too Pure who released most of their albums doesn't mention them in any detail on their site. Glad you liked the songs, they're good representations of their first two albums so if you get a chance to purchase them I would.

I did have a quick google search for a website but came up with nothing too, that's why I thought I'd ask here to see if you knew of one, oh well! anyway, yeah, I plan on hunting down and buying both albums, I'll let you know what I think once I get hold of them!

Hi! I've been following your site for a little while now, so pleased you put some Jack up, I am a huge fan. Jack are currently 'sleeping' and the official site is linked from frontman Anthony Reynolds site. There are three albums, the third being The End of the World As It's Always Been, and worth getting hold of is Jacques (Anthony Reynold 'side' project) To Stars album. More info on his site I'm sure!
